Michel Reis piano, Paul Wiltgen drums, Marc Demuth bass
The Reis-Demuth-Wiltgen Trio has played its first concert in
Luxembourg over ten years ago, and have been playing as
regular group between 1998 and 2002. In 2003, the group
performances became much rare due to the different paths
of the trio’s members individual careers.
Bassist Marc Demuth, studying at that time already at the
Conservatories of Brussels and The Hague, was putting his
efforts mainly on his own groups as a leader, as well as
drummer Paul Wiltgen and pianist Michel Reis, who both
moved to the United States to pursue their studies and their
individual careers.
The three of them have been part and responsible of numerous
projects and have been sharing stages with jazz luminaries
all over the world. It is a very special opportunity to have
them reunited again to form a band of young vital jazz musicians
and composers, eager to share their experiences with each other
and the audience.
The music consists of mainly original compositions, all
individually penned by Michel Reis, Marc Demuth and
Paul Witlgen. The music expresses a vital contemporary
energy, where storytelling takes an important place.
